Rebellious Finn and Harper are sent to their grandfather's for the Summer. The eccentric grandfather used to own a bustling arcade - but it has been long shut down (after his wife mysteriously disappeared). The kids, while exploring the abandoned store that contains arcade games from the 70's and 80's, discover that certain (evil) characters from the games have somehow found a portal to enter and exit the fantasy world. The kids will try to outwit the (now human) bad guys, who are wreaking havoc in town, and keep them inside the game permanently. But, while inside the games themselves - Finn and Harper make a shocking discovery!
